Preparing Exchange Server environment
ActiveSync protocol used for communication between the iPhone and the Exchange-server must be enabled and configured on your server. A digital certificate is required on the server to provide us with the iPhone. If the ISA-server is used, must be configured so that traffic from Exchange ActiveSync for the environment. The quickest way to check that your server is configured correctly is to use the test tool to determine the configuration of ActiveSync issues.
Configuring the Firewall
Your Exchange-server and the Internet is protected by a firewall be configured to iPhone via the Internet on the exchange. This should enable the Internet on port 443 (the port used for SSL) on the firewall and configure a firewall for Internet traffic through the port 443 to the Exchange environment.
Setting up your iPhone
On your iPhone, select Microsoft Exchange in the list of postal services. On the next screen, iPhone will ask for your email address and a user name and password. This username and password, the same that you use to connect to your office PC. IPhone will attempt to automatically find your server and you will most likely not, and asks the server name. For the server name, enter the name of your Internet firewall (eg, firewall.example.com) is not the name of your server Exchange. The next screen allows you to choose what to synchronize (email, calendar and contacts), and the number of days to hold almost iPhone. After setting, click Sync to initiate the restoration of your mailbox.
