The most wanted white version of the fourth generation iPhone dubbed as the “White iPhone 4” could hit he store shelves in the next few weeks after long time of waiting and waiting. As we all know, the white version of the fourth generation iPhone has been repeatedly delayed, and reasons for the delay have never been officially disclosed, but have been hinted as being problems with the manufacturing issues, specifically the white coloring. And it’s been reported that a special Japanese-made paint resolve this issue. Now, in a report which originally surfaced via Bloomberg’s BusinessWeek, Apple is said to be preparing to sell its elusive White iPhone 4, and citing “three people familiar with the plans”, Bloomberg reports that a new version of the iPhone 4 will be available for both GSM and CDMA model. Meaning, it will be available from both AT&T and Verizon Wireless, by the end of April.
April 13 (Bloomberg) — Apple Inc. will begin selling a white model of the iPhone 4 in the next few weeks after a 10- month delay, according to three people familiar with the plans.
The new version will be available from AT&T Inc. and Verizon Wireless by the end of April, said one of the people, who asked not to be identified because the plans aren’t public. The release was stalled as Apple resolved manufacturing challenges, including paint that peeled under heat, one person said.
Earlier, Apple’s marketing senior vice president’s Phil Schiller has confirmed that white iPhone 4 will be released this spring and the 20th of June is the last date for spring season. So Apple might release the White iPhone 4 during this period. On the other hand, Bloomberg also reported that Apple will not release iPhone 5 at WWDC 2011.
