What will be the effect of no Flash?

What will the effects be if there is no Flash on the Ipad or Iphone?
Had plans to get an Ipad later in the month, but now it has become confusing.
How will it have an effect on consumers?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/10093314.stm
The main reason there will be no flash on the Apple appliances is because they are trying to push HTML5, which will be an equivalent to flash. I seriously doubt flash does all the negative things Steve Jobs mentioned.
however HTML5 wont be ready for some time but Macromedias new CS5 package has tools which can translate flash files into iphone/ipad compatible files. The success of such methods is yet to be known.

Awesome Apple But Imperfect IPad

Admittedly Apple to date has stood at the cutting edge of the electronics world winning the laurels on the strength of its unremitting efforts and innovation on the commodities, like the Silicone iPad Case, which hit the market arousing a fanatic craze about binge shopping. Apple products, as it were, have come to the fore in a unique and individual fashion. Well, what the hell with the fond dream that replace the goods without contributory accessories with a stunning but imperfect item or a stock of extraneous peripherals? Is the business kicking the ass, or the buyer makes a fool of himself? Anyway, ironically iPad is still following the same old disastrous road.
If iphone and iPod has fared perfectly with resounding success to the effect that Apple advances irresistibly contributed by the Silicone iPad case and another chic iPad Case, qualifying as the sought after Ipad Accessories, then iPad barely satisfactory this time has been supposed to be the target of public criticism. The products analyst of the U.S. remarkable IT magazine Wired pointed out ten defective details shortly in the wake of the iPad release by Jobs. To be specific, the iPad fails to support Flash, multi-function, render the 16:9 screen scale and invite Verizon as the mobile operator and meanwhile lacks OLED screen, USB interface, keyboard, web cam, and high-resolution media interface. As for those tending to operate things like web browser, email, Twitter, RealPlayer and Microsoft Word at the same time, the iPad incapable of supporting multi-function is no more than a large Kindle.
To put it exactly, the latter well stands before the former one in terms of the price, 3G service as well as standby time. Moreover, it’s impossible for iPad as a tablet PC hovering between net book and e-book and accordingly stuck in the embarrassing situation to enjoy the favorable stance on the table like Kindle and all the more suit the holder for a long time as Kindle. In some sense, the Achilles’ heel of the iPad lies in that it brings the Apple’s imposing manner and irreplaceable garland to no full play. During the press conference on last Wednesday Jobs laughed heavily stating that the tablet PC puts the net book into shame and at stake. However, there are doubting voices from the publics that why should they spend $500 on the iPad prevailing over none counterparts like net book regarding the practicality or e-book concerning the portable advantage.
For all we know, the heavy price buyers pay on any Apple items is not only commensurate with cost on a machine. You know, for the sake of luxurious and fragile iPad, the Silicone iPad case, as well as the protective tab is at least a must have and in the best possible situation the wireless keyboard counted in. This kind of marketing mode is more than welcomed by the accessories manufacturers, and the things is the imperfect machine actually has gained the immense popularity and contributed to more profit margin for the manufacturers. The point to note is that the online marketplaces also reap the rewards in that they have a good chance of relishing selling

what is the mean of the “open”?

I read this sentence in the “The economist”:IT’S OBVIOUS who the early buyers of the iPad will be: the fanboys and early adopters who just have to have the latest Apple toy. Pre-orders for the iPad have been open for a week, and already people are trying to work out how many have been sold so far. what is the meaning of “open” in this scentence?

It means that it has been possible to pre-order the iPad. Not get it, yet, but get in line to get it once it is available. In this context, “open” means available, ready to go.

The Difference Between the iPhone 3G and the 2nd Generation iPod Touch.

The plastic exterior is debatable - slightly fragile in comparison to networks abroad it can reach speeds of 700 to 800 Kbps.

The iPod Touch seem to be found in Sci-Fi novels. They both feature a high resolution, 3.5 inch screen that blends flawlessly into the sleek, smooth frame it's fastened to.

Both have tapered edges that make the gadget feel much smaller than it actually is and allow for a comfortable grip by anyone's standards. The plastic exterior is debatable - slightly fragile in comparison to networks abroad it can reach speeds of 700 to 800 Kbps.

The iPod Touch matches its iPhone counterpart in the same - at least by their appearances.

The development of model business iPhone Apps - fees update.

The media these days are full of stories of people making huge sums of money through a relatively short period of time when you create applications for the iPhone, be it a simple application to play sounds from "Star Wars" or the more advanced and useful applications that increase efficiency and t. e. development of applications for the iPhone and IPod Touch is seen by many as one of the few booming sectors in a dark world economy.

My understanding of the business model now in the iTunes Store application is that you only pay for the application once, and updated applications are not treated as new applications that do not pay. For users who are a pleasure to hear, as in the early stages of development of applications for this platform new media are often errors in the first release from any application, and better, as developers take advantage of Apple development platform, applications will continue to grow and get more advanced .

But the question that was asked, how long until the iPhone becomes aware that some of the industry to make your business more sustainable, constant innovation is insufficient, and to find ways to earn more money from applications have already been created and put on the market.

Once the iPhone / IPod Touch application industry is beginning a more mature, which could take years, increased competition and the user will be more important for applications that will download amongh 20000 + applications already available in the iTunes Store App. Applications for the quality you are always improving and growing, the next step would be to charge for major updates, possibly in a different price level after the initial boot.

iPad 2 Production Shortages Due to LCD and Speaker Issues?

Dow Jones Newswires reports on comments from research firm IHS iSuppli noting that Apple's surprisingly low iPad shipments for the first quarter of 2011 were in fact due to production issues, primarily related to display and speaker production problems.
Apple's first-quarter supply of the iPad 2 fell far short of demand, according to the researcher, saying production faced manufacturing difficulties, which combined with strong demand, led to short supplies of the device. The issues, according to sources, include quality concerns with liquid crystal display panels and production shortages of the new speaker.

Production of New Thunderbolt-Equipped MacBook Airs Set for Next Month?

AppleInsider reports on a new research note from Concord Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claiming that Apple is set to begin production on new Thunderbolt-equipped MacBook Air models late next month, setting the stage for an update to the company's popular ultra-thin notebooks.
Kuo tells AppleInsider that his latest round of checks with suppliers and system builders in the region reveals that MacBook Air shipments are set to rebound during the current calendar quarter, fueled by an upgrade to Intel's latest Sandy Bridge microprocessors, integrated Intel graphics, and the expected adoption of the new Thunderbolt high-speed I/O technology that made its debut on MacBook Pros earlier this year.

Specifically, he said the new models will "go to mass production in late May," which corroborates an earlier report that cited reliable sources as saying Apple would be ready to publicly announce and ship to consumers MacBook Airs with Sandy Bridge processors during following month of June.

Conde Nast Slowing Plans for iPad Magazines Amid Weak Sales

Ad Age reports that Conde Nast, one of the early iPad supporters in the magazine industry, is slowing down its plans to bring more titles to the platform, citing slow sales of its existing titles.
"It's a shift," one Conde publisher said. "The official stance was we're going to get all our magazines on the iPad because this is going to be such an important stream. The new change is maybe we can slow it down. In my opinion it makes Conde look smart because we have the ambition, but we're not rushing."

"They're not all doing all that well, so why rush to get them all on there?" the publisher added.
According to the report, development of iPad applications is now up to the individual publishers for each magazine, shifting away from a concerted effort by the conglomerate to push forward on all titles.

European Sources Point to White iPhone 4 Launch on April 27th

Earlier this week, Norwegian site Mobili.no reported [Google translation] that it had received information claiming that the white iPhone 4 will debut on Wednesday, April 27th.
Several reliable sources who wish to remain anonymous, says now Mobili.no that the white version goes on sale in the Norwegian mobile shops this coming Wednesday, 27 April.

It will be distributed in both Telenor's and NetCom's stores.
That claim is now being repeated [Google translation] by Dutch site iPhoneclub.nl, which claims to have confirmed with multiple employees of mobile phone retailer BelCompany that an internal memo has been circulated announcing the launch date.

White iPhone 4 Sold By Vodafone UK???

Engadget reports that it has received photos from a reader who claims to have purchased a white iPhone 4 through Vodafone in the UK today. The carrier has reportedly been gearing up to receive shipments of the device, but it now appears that the units may in fact be arriving and have slipped out for sale in a few instances.
Now, we've secured a few images of a 16GB model from a separate source that has seemingly made its way into the hands of one lucky customer (read: bloke) over in Britain.

As the story goes, the carrier's point-of-sale system rang it up as a black iPhone, and shortly after the sale went down, Voda sent out a notice to halt sale of these gems "until next week."

iPhone 5 Details: 3.7-Inch Screen, Home Button with Gesture Area

Former Engadget editor Joshua Topolsky has revealed possible new information on the upcoming iPhone 5, but that information seems to contradict other recent claims. Topolsky reiterates from his previous Engadget report that the next iPhone is to be completely redesigned, and that it looks “more like the iPod touch than the iPhone 4.” The new phone will be thinner and have a "teardrop" shape which goes from thick to thin, similar to the MacBook Air.

Meanwhile, the home button will be doing "double duty" as both a button and and a gesture area.
this falls in line with testing we’ve seen for gestures on the iPad, and our sources say that gestures are definitely coming in a future version of iOS. The home button will likely be enlarged, but not scrapped altogether.
He also details that the screen will occupy nearly the entire front of the phone leaving almost no bezel. This information is consistent with some earlier rumors that suggested an "edge to edge" screen. In addition Apple is said to be doing very "interesting things" with bonded glass technology and even exploring designs where the earpiece and sensors are behind the screen itself.

Apple Including Ultra High Resolution Artwork in Lion for Possible Retina Displays?

A finding earlier this month by OSXDaily has generated some speculation about Apple's plans for "Retina" display Macs. The Mac OS X Lion Developer Preview 2 released in late March included an ultra-high resolution version of the background desktop image at a resolution of 3200x3200. A few observers noted that this is higher than any Apple display has ever supported, generating speculation that Apple is preparing for "Retina" display Macs in the near future.
