Untethered Jailbreak Working on iOS 4.3.2 – Dev Team To Release Updated iOS 4.3.2 Jailbreak Tool.

We have some great news that will make the entire iPhone jailbreak community happy. German iPhone hacker and iPhone security specialist, the hacker who held responsible of the untethered jailbreak exploit used on iPhone Dev Team’s PwnageTool and Redsn0w as well as iH8sn0w Sn0wbreeze jailbreak tool, accounted via Twitter that his untethered jailbreak vulnerability still works on the recently released iOS 4.3.2. Meaning, you will be able to untether jailbreak your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G, and iPad 1 running on iOS 4.3.2 using either (updated version) PwnageTool (exclusively for Mac OS X users), Redsn0w (for Mac OS X and Windows users) and Sn0wbreeze (exclusive for Windows users) in the near future.

According to Esser, his first generation iPad is currently running on a untethered jailbreak iOS 4.3.2. And he might render his untethered jailbreak exploit to the iPhone Dev Team by next week to incorporate it to their PwnageTool and Redsn0w, as well as Sn0wbreeze software jailbreak tool.

Here’s what Esser tweeted:

Apple has been nice. I just verified that the untether vulnerability is not fixed in iOS 4.3.2 – my Ipad 1 is running untethered jailbroken
Of course the public untether binaries will not work with iOS 4.3.2 – I have to generate new untether binaries with new dyld/kernel offsets
I won’t be able to create all the untether binaries before sunday, because I will be on planes, …
The dev-team cannot produce the untether binaries on their own, because they don't have the source code to the untether exploit.

Review: The Apple iPad

In these times we have little opportunity for mystical religious experience. By “religious” I mean the feeling that something exciting is about to happen – whether after death or immediately, through the intercession of a divine being, a miracle in life. The neophilic mind has craved magic, craved the new and spectacular, since prehistory. Man deified thunder, worshiped the cave bear. Over time we have refined the impulse; we have learned to associate it with places and things of our own creation, which provoke the mystical feeling in themselves and in what they represent. Cathedrals were at once a site for worship and a site for awe, and our better natures were expressed in them for centuries.
These days a small minority of us, mostly situated in the developed world, have replaced the awe of religious experience with the awe of technological advancement. To further that line of thinking, the fanboy is, it can be argued, a new form of religious supplicant and the fanboy’s most prominent church is the Church of Apple.

Untrackerd wipes stored location data on your jailbroken iPhone

The iPhone and iPad seem to be storing location data about your travels using cell tower information. Whether you believe that Apple is secretly spying on you or just storing the locations of cell towers for some purpose, such as speedier connections to said towers, if you don't like it, you now have an option. Ryan Petrich, a renowned jailbreak app developer, has released a free little utility called "untrackerd" that runs in the background and continuously cleans stored location history data.
You will, of course, have to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad to install the app from Cydia, but if you're not happy about the possibility of your iPhone or iPad's location history being accessible, then head to Cydia now and install the 37 KB app from the BigBoss repository for peace of mind.
