iPhone 4

Apple is not contractually sure to convey the iPhone completely to AT&T, and that’s why you can now go to the store and purchase a Verizon iPhone with no problem. Rumors now recommend the following iteration of Apple’s mobile phone will be available on all 4 of the major carriers.
iphone-4g
It’s funny to assume that again then, Apple needed help. AT&T was doing the company a favor by providing to assist with promotions and advertising, and different favorable deals. Verizon form of missed out on its blockbuster event when it launches its version of the iPhone 4. Whereas it did set sales information for the Wi-Fi supplier, it wasn’t a runaway smash like it had hoped, and plenty of expected.

As a substitute, launch-day lines outside Apple and Verizon Stores had been slightly short, if at all. Certain there were Verizon customers who needed to get their hands on it, as well as those who refused to ever purchase an iPhone on AT&T. But for essentially the most part, the lots of people who absolutely needed to have an iPhone 4 ASAP already bought one on AT&T.
The launch of the iPhone 5 might show to be historic in its scope. If it launches on a number of carriers simultaneously, we will be in for a gross sales day of epic proportions.
Nothing really stable backs up the notion that Apple will carry the next iPhone to anyone other than Verizon or AT&T. However, last 12 months there had been hypothesis that Apple was in discussion with T-Mobile. And since Verizon and Dash run on the same type of cell community, it would not be very difficult to get a Sprint iPhone up and running.

Meet iPhone 4 – The UK’s sixth most popular phone.

It is all about Android as of late
The iPhone four has dropped out of the top 5 hottest UK telephones according to a list compiled by uSwitch.

The cellphone was marred with sign and (in some way) gripping issues when it was first unleashed on the world in summer time final yr, whilst their much-hyped Face Talk hasn’t had the effect Jobs and co. calculated.

HTC the Taiwanese phone big whose tagline is “quietly brilliant”, has been simply getting on with the job; releasing extremely-successful smartphones with massive, excessive definition screens; social media out the ears and a lot lower price point than their Cupertino counterparts.
HTC telephones Want, Desire HD and Wildfire occupy the first three areas which is curious as the Need has been on launch since March 2010, as bigger and more heavily marketed contenders have been and gone.
The HTC phones all use an Android OS which is gathering momentum in the cellular recreation as the only different to the iOS. Android is the OS utilized in all telephones on the list save the Apple and BlackBerry models.

Weekly Poll: Are You Excited About the White iPhone???

At long last, the white iPhone 4 is available for purchase. I lost track of how many times this thing has been delayed and how many times Mac rumor sites have claimed that it was just around the corner.
Interestingly enough, it seems that it was the camera holding it back all this time. There were issues with the white glass back leading to washed out photos. It’s fascinating that simply changing the color of the device can lead to so many unforeseen issues! Fret not however, all of these problems have been addressed and Apple has probably learned a great deal about offering color variations for future products that contain cameras.
Today we want to know whether you even care that the white iPhone has finally made it onto the scene. For all its hype, it’s still just an iPhone 4. If you’re not a fan of black though, this could be just the catalyst you needed to take the plunge and fork out the cash to upgrade that aging iPhone 3GS.
Cast your vote in the poll and leave a comment below with your thoughts. Are you buying one?

White iPhone 4 No Available To Order on 3 UK.

The white iPhone is about to make its debut in Italy but before that it is the turn of the US and the UK. We can now officially report that the white iPhone 4 is available for order on 3 UK.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEideHk2BQIpLMB8ZMYijSlWPZVOYw4YNDrEc6_yC6K6nNgZIOVp5ybCD-lxcxEwI9h9XRTs3MMFgWqO6Ww4IbdhynYyncp9WaS_CTashBcxF8dTM43hXqmv6WSnV-8-R_MeCKprfg0G_Rc/s320/iphone_4_in_white11.jpg
You can place your order for a white iPhone 4 at 3 UK and it will cost you £159 for the 32 GB version. Once you place your order you will receive the brand new white iPhone on the 20th of April. This product has been listed on the 3 UK website for quite some time now but prior to this you could never actually order the product.

As of a couple of days ago, 3 UK will now allow customers to add the white iPhone 4 to their shopping baskets and it will also tell them how long it will take for the delivery. This is great news for all of those who have been waiting on the launch of this much awaited product and I’m sure Apple will be delighted to finally have it available too. There has been so much delay with the launch of the white iPhone but it now seems that finally things have been sorted out and it is being made available as soon as the 20th of April.

Here Comes The Long Awaited White iPhone 4.

Most people are talking about the launch of the long awaited white iPhone 4 and we are so delighted to finally report that it is here. If you read the 9to5Mac blog then you will have seen their screenshots of the Best Buy’s inventory screen which shows the white iPhone 4 available from the 27th of April 2011.
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxFRJL90oPKX79x1PYqIsjXgWS_Ag-CFyQ30I8H1NTtZB2RI5fArM3la5EZFkefW8geJbWHF1OvmP6eML33KQ9a3XdDGEomldcHmvrILmrqqAG_hZAltOMDCFJDueEs8GIBW6y71-L2AY/s320/iphone_4_in_white11.jpg
These screenshots show that the AT&T GSM version of the white iPhone 4 will be available on the 27th of April as will the Verizon CDMA. Looking closely at these screenshots it seems clear that the release of the white iPhone 4 will actually be a worldwide release from today the 27th April 2011.

According to 9to5Mac you might have a bit of a problem on your hands if you are looking to get a white iPhone 4 32GB model because seemingly the supplies of these models are a little low. According to them, most stores will have around ten 16GB models on order for the launch date with more possibly on the way. The official numbers for the 32GB models however have not been confirmed. If we look at the white iPhone 4 launch that happened in Europe already then there may actually be a shortage of the 32GB models in the US.

It really has been such a long wait for the release of the white iPhone 4 and let’s hope it really has been worth the wait. We will have wait a couple of days to see the user stories emerge but if there is anything worth reporting we will be sure to let you know.

iPhone 5 Probably Won’t Be Seen at WWDC This Summer

A series of new developments has shed some light on Apple’s product roadmap for the coming year. First, we thought that Apple would be holding a media event in April for iOS 5 and MobileMe. TechCrunch followed up on those rumors by saying that iOS 5 would be pushed back to the fall, and that the iPhone 5 would be released this summer running a version of iOS 4.
Today, Apple announced the dates and information for their annual World Wide Develepors Conference this June. Apple’s focus for WWDC this year will clearly be on software, and, unless they’ve got a big surprise up their sleeve, we probably won’t see the iPhone 5 launch during the expected time frame…
Apple has always done something with the iPhone during June, but this year looks to be a change-up from Apple’s typical announcement cycle. The Verizon iPhone launched in February, which is something totally new for Apple’s typical release schedule.
The white iPhone 4 is suspected to ship very soon as well, which could make Apple feel comfortable with holding off on the release of the next gen iPhone. It doesn’t make much sense for Apple to release a white iPhone 4 less than three months before an iPhone 5 announcement.
The Loop corroborates that we won’t see any hardware announcements from Apple this summer,
“Apple’s apparent focus on software in its WWDC announcement backs up what my own sources are saying about the annual conference. That is, expect a software show in 2011, not a hardware event.
At past WWDCs, Apple might show off a new piece of hardware, but Gartner analyst Michael Gartenberg warns about getting too caught up in the past.
“You get caught up in patterns, and it holds true, until it doesn’t,” Gartenberg told The Loop. “There is no reason for Apple to follow a predictable yearly pattern, and it keeps their competition off guard a little bit.”
Japanese site Macotakara (via Google Translate) claims that the iPhone 5 won’t ship until much later in the year,
“According to sources in China, fourth quarter 2011 (July-September) had been rumored to be announced on the iPhone 5, from things that do not begin manufacturing parts in 2011 (to September) of seems to be lost sale.”
So, news from China says the iPhone 5 won’t ship until late 2011 (September at the earliest).
All Things D agrees that we won’t see the iPhone 5 at WWDC this summer, and they think the reason could be 4G,
“I’m just guessing here, but I think postponing the unveiling and release of the device could be an indication that its next iteration will run on 4G LTE networks. Remember, AT&T is expected to launch its LTE network by the middle of the year and Verizon’s is already up and running. And what was it China Mobile Chairman Wang Jianzhou said earlier this month? “[Steve] Jobs has expressed his interest in an LTE iPhone and is willing to start the development at an early date” …
TiPB makes a good point that Apple wouldn’t gain much from releasing the iPhone 5 after June. Android handsets are already offering advanced hardware that can easily compete with what the iPhone 4 has to offer. Apple will need to pull out the big guns to blow the competition out of the water when they finally unveil the next iPhone.

European Sources Point to White iPhone 4 Launch on April 27th

Earlier this week, Norwegian site Mobili.no reported [Google translation] that it had received information claiming that the white iPhone 4 will debut on Wednesday, April 27th.
Several reliable sources who wish to remain anonymous, says now Mobili.no that the white version goes on sale in the Norwegian mobile shops this coming Wednesday, 27 April.

It will be distributed in both Telenor's and NetCom's stores.
That claim is now being repeated [Google translation] by Dutch site iPhoneclub.nl, which claims to have confirmed with multiple employees of mobile phone retailer BelCompany that an internal memo has been circulated announcing the launch date.

White iPhone 4 Sold By Vodafone UK???

Engadget reports that it has received photos from a reader who claims to have purchased a white iPhone 4 through Vodafone in the UK today. The carrier has reportedly been gearing up to receive shipments of the device, but it now appears that the units may in fact be arriving and have slipped out for sale in a few instances.
Now, we've secured a few images of a 16GB model from a separate source that has seemingly made its way into the hands of one lucky customer (read: bloke) over in Britain.

As the story goes, the carrier's point-of-sale system rang it up as a black iPhone, and shortly after the sale went down, Voda sent out a notice to halt sale of these gems "until next week."

White iPhone 4 launch imminent, to arrive April 27?

a pair of new reports. 9 to 5 Mac, citing information from a Dutch source, claimsthe handset will launch on April 27, with limited stock at first. The report also claims that T-Mobile will have a one month exclusive on the long-awaited handset in the Netherlands, and that units are already arriving in stores, with embargo stickers on the packages that state “do not open until April 27.” Engadget, meanwhile, has posted a photo of sealed white iPhone 4 package, which it claims was sold to a Vodafone UK customer, after which the company halted sales of the handset “until next week.” Apple has repeatedly promised that the white iPhone 4 would launch this Spring.

“Select Developers” Testing iPhone 4 Prototypes Running A5 Chip?

According to a report by 9to5mac, Apple has begun testing a prototype version of the iPhone running the A5 chip with “select developers.” The units, carrying the usual Apple model numbers for prototypes, are apparently based on the iPhone 4 hardware, with the only exception of the Apple A5 processor — clearly aimed at enhancing speed and graphics performances on the next-generation device. The report goes on to say these modified iPhones featuring the A5 CPU have been given to “high-level gaming outfits” in order to start writing gaming applications for the iPhone 5 that will, allegedly, be announced in September. As with the first-generation iPad, Apple is forcing these developers to keep the prototypes in a safe in the company’s offices at night — likely under strict surveillance from Apple employees or security staff.
Apple isn’t taking the next iPhone’s A5-power lightly. They already have select developers working on versions of their iPhone applications that take full advantage of the next-generation iPhone’s speedier and much more powerful hardware. These developers, seemingly from high-level gaming outfits, have been given what is essentially an iPhone 4 but with an A5 processor instead of an A4. The device itself is virtually identical to the iPhone 4, and there is no way anyone can tell it’s not an iPhone 4 based on the phone’s exterior.

Rumor: iPhone "4S" prototypes with A5 chips being tested by game developers

Earlier today 9to5Mac reported on a prototype Mac Pro that might be in the offing, and now the blog also has word that iPhone 4s outfitted with Apple's A5 chips have been seeded with developers at certain "high-level gaming outfits."
As noted in the post, these prototypes are not necessarily indicative of what we'll see in September, which is when the next-generation iPhone is expected to appear. Instead, these are devices that are designed to let the developers prepare their game titles for the iPhone 5. The source of the information called the device an iPhone 4S, although that name might be nothing more than internal nomenclature.
Other hardware improvements would be expected in any future iPhone, including a rumored 8-megapixel camera and the capability to be used as a true GSM/CDMA "world phone." The A5 is currently used in the iPad 2, and is a dual-core high-performance system on a chip. The graphics capabilities of the A5 are outstanding, with a graphics processing unit touted as nine times as powerful as the one in the original iPad.
